Mines a size 40 and in terms weight I’ll figure it out if I can tomo but it’s certainly a lightweight jacket

Thanks. I found through a friend in Tokyo the same jacket and also in size 40. He has not yet sent it to me, but I was surprised that it weighs 2.3 kg. My MA-1 Skyline is made of heavy nylon and heavy insulated weighs 1.5 kg, my B-15A weighs 1.6 kg. Perhaps his scales are bit incorrect ; otherwise, this Buzz B-15C may become my heaviest flight jacket

Maybe they mix Pounds and kg..( the unit).

Brice, my friend is American who lives in Japan for a long time. I don't think that he is confusing, perhaps his home scales are not accurate. In any case, I'll know exactly when I'll get this jacket.

And yes, in this nice A-2 jacket you have to go a bit forward from the first class and knock to the guys in the cockpit and sit with crew
. It is a pity that now became times when it impossible.Have a good flight.

I also remember the times when - once in a while - frequent travelers have been asked to join the crew in their cockpit - had that opportunity twice but was told just to „sit and do not touch anything“ - was always highly impressed by all the gauges, switches and all the technical crap stuffed in their - my full respect for everyone who is able to fly such a thing ...

Yeah, Thomas you are right, everything was easier before and the World was calmer ...everything has changed since 09/11/ 2001. After that, we were forbidden to keep the cockpit door open even while plane on stop parked while there was at least one passenger in the cabin. Somewhere the requirements were more stringent, somewhere less, but the fact that the World has changed. For five years I have not fly with passengers - cargo only and I am very glad that now we don’t watch the door
. Usually there is only flight crew on board and sometimes only one or two guys from company on service seats.

I paid for C-Class...I have access to the flight deck whenever prearranged / cleared via official channels.Maybe a business class, may be a first...now everything is possible, depends on airline, I don't know who is carrying Pilot to Saigon.

I think PILOT is one of the very few peacefully retired "Double-0" agents....I would not be surprised if he has an Aston Martin in his garage...all these wine drinking pictures are pure charade...he swapped the wine for Martinis the moment the picture were taken...
