Platon Dubow seal?

For me it ranged from same day to several days but my comms were via Ebay as I purchased the jacket via there.
Thanks all. I placed my order on the 20th January, and have not had a response from either of my two emails seeking order confirmation/an estimate on completion. I suppose I should heed the warnings about Platon's approach customer service?!

It's one-man-served company. Platon is great man and great maker who likes perfection and who pays attention to every tiny detail and to every small feature in his works.
I think there's nothing to worry about, you probably should take patience.
Look at numerous examples of many opinions around here - everyone is happy and absolutely satisfied with Platon's Dubow's.
It takes time to make every Dubow A-2 - well, yes.
Anything to worry about - no, nothing. Not in this case I think. Take patience.

Agree with the above. Mine took a few month to get into my hands.
I am very happy with it. At first I was not 100% sure of the fit, but have been wearing it a bit lately and as its relaxing and slowly breaking in, I am really taking shine to it.
This jacket sits side-by-side with ELC, BK and GW. If he offered long sizes as an option, I'd order a russet version. No hesitation.
Don't worry about the politics, the jacket is worth every penny and whatever time it takes.

I understand this and appreciate everyone’s input. I think it’s reasonable that after sending payment almost 8 weeks ago, and asking numerous times for confirmation of the order, to expect at least a brief response - for all I know the business may no longer be in operation, there may be significant delays due to material shortages and so on - it would just be helpful to have acknowledgement of my order from Platon, as at the moment all I have is a PayPal receipt confirming my payment.

I remember the wait as well. But as others have said it’s well worth the wait. Once you open that box it will have been worth every minute. Funny enough I just emailed Platon a few weeks ago telling him how much I still like the jacket. And he replied right away. So he’s still going strong.

I'm actually wearing mine today. I love it! Its getting better and better. Funny, I did the same... emailed Platon and thanked him for it.

We moved to Wisconsin the end of January with bitter cold weather so last weekend was the first time in a while I had gotten a chance to wear it. Funny, I find myself liking it more each time I wear it.

Understood and of course over a months worth of water has flowed under the bridge since my comment. Perhaps those with Platon's email info could pass it to you so that you can contact him directly.

If he can reply so promptly to you when you compliment him why can't he reply when a customer is chasing his order up? A quick email to say it's in the pipeline is all that's needed.

@Southoftheborder i can’t explain what Platon is thinking. I was only giving timmbo peace of mind that Platon hadn’t packed up and ran with his money. I use the email that’s on his website. If people are not happy they can always file a complaint thru PayPal. All of us that have boughten these jackets from Platon had to go thru the wait without hardly if not any contact from Platon. Me personally had to wait nearly a month after he shipped it thinking the thing was lost after all that wait. Everyone else that he shipped them to the same time as I, received there’s right away. Bottom line these jackets are worth the wait and worth being kept in the dark. But if you think it’s not worth the wait and not worth staying in the dark then contact PayPal and ask for your money to be returned.
As an FYI @timmbo I paid in August and received mine mid December.

Go back and read our frustrations. It’s not me either. Trust me, I had my finger on the button many times ready to contact PayPal. My comment was never meant to defend Platon only to reassure others that Platon was still around. I can’t speak for what the man is thinking why he doesn’t reply, but can speak that the jackets well worth it.

No more in collecting repros... anyway....
However... mine (a 44“ seal „ standard regular“) was due and promised firmly in a so called Platoon contract...in Dec. 2018... no answer, nor reply to my mails, no A-2 received.... ever...
All my questions and queries...unanswered... good for a lawsuit... Paypal paid all back...
Did not want to spoil . ..nor sabotage... so no posting here since many here were happy with what they received ( late though) and but pleased..( hey!... it was looking good by all means) ....I was not happy and implemented the clauses according to our contract ( posted it here .. see my posted conditions...a few months ago..,if I remember correctly)...
Nowadays, I am happy it did not work out and Mme Platoon ( according to some .. its a Lady) did not ship, nor reply according to our Platoon formal contract...Not collecting repros anymore...fine with me...
Sorry about this .. for a start-up...and all disapointed believers....““““watch 6... and you only get what you pay for...““““

Congrats to all other good faithful manufacturers!

Maybe not, but some will tell you it's a service, and as such, within a seller's rights to charge for.

That's no longer a universal meaning of free market. More and more it means: property is the only right, so the richer you are, the more rights you have.

Once last year Platon sent me a low-resolution photo of himself wearing his russet Dubow jacket, after my inquiry into the sleeves of size 40 and 42.

So I am quite certain Platon is a man and not a woman and there's no mystery behind his gender.
