Yeah a rare bird Peter, I've never seen it and certainly not a white label with a dark collar, it's why I grabbed the early Buzz Rickson B10 painted Super Mouse, the unusual ones or one offs are worth collecting, you just don't see much of them
Exactly! I didn't think Buzz did that lsl in a dark collar haha and the patch definitely looked original.
What I do find a puzzle though is the usual patch is yellow backed, the American Air force museum has one

So the consensus is, the yellow backed patch is the correct one

I checked everywhere there wasn't a white backed patch at least not according to military sources
But I will say that the guy that supplied it, didn't realise it was him, Andrew Butler has been supplying authentic insignia for a lot of years, so I don't know

AVG pilots, they are technically employee by a China company, all of those patch only need that company’s approval.

Hmm. Lost Worlds. That alone makes me skeptical.
I would bet those pins were custom and very few made -- if not only that particular set.
If you read up on the AVG, many of the members got personal items locally in Rangoon and Kunming. I think the only official piece of uniform you ever see them wearing is the Chinese army cap with the Chinese star badge on the front.

Yeah, the badge might be official, but the cap wasn't.
To those German-style caps, the German army advised and trained the Chinese army for a long time prior to WW2, so the influence shows.

Those are summer cap.Is this one from the movie not too dark?
Dark one in the movie, is wool fabric, only issued to officers or elite guards (german advisor trained force).
