Here is another maker that has popped up on eBay in Italy ,Price $210 six week delivery free shipping. Do this startups see a market for reasonable price jackets now we are in the $1500 range now ?. Or is this a scam I wonder.

Looks like cheapo fake... moreover, in their ad they use Eastman name for their jobbing... looks illegal doesn't it?
P.S. They describe the leather like "a fine quality GOAT leather" - but it doesn't actually look like goatskin on their photos at all.

I think perhaps I may have received a different HH than some of the previous pics I've seen. IIRC, Platon did source more from Italy awhile back. Anyway, what I have isn't supple at all. It reminds me of the 'real deal' kind of thing.. mismatched panels of smoother grain, some with more... Personally, I LOVE it! VERY authentic looking IMO, and with MUCH hard wear, this stallion just may bust into something pretty sweet:

That FB pic posted above reminds me of the Japanese HH used on my Morgan Productions 'Morgan Memphis Bell', or a supple Vicenza... Quite nice, but I'm happy with what I have. On the 2nd pic I posted above, the sleeve is smoother, and has what I call 'marbling' of the grain going on, which I like the looks of a lot. I can't wait to see how it develops overall, but that is going to take some time with this jacket...

I haven't quite given mine the beating you have yet... The extent of my chores are straightening up and maintaining my home, tending to 6 rescued cats I care for, and my twice daily 'feeding tour' outdoors of a couple more in the neighborhood, who I know were abandoned recently when their owners moved. It will be nice seeing the Dubow transform from year to year. Barring extreme weight-gain (which hasn't been an issue for me), this jacket is a 'keeper' for certain...
