I’m not particularly a shearling fellow. But once the leather jacket obsession starts, you have to have at least one of everything. The Sheepskin on this 5* B-3, reminds more of an RAF Irving jacket, so in my mind I get a ‘twoforone’ deal. Absolutely fantastic to wear with only a T shirt underneath in minus 2 No problem at all. Heavy yes, bulky no. In the Cab it’s like having a warm blanket on. The length is perfect with no bunching when sat down. I normally have the throat buckle loosely done up on one strap as the neck feels a little exposed with the collars down. I particularly like the grainy seal brown leather and the contrast russet HH facings. The elbows will take a hundred years of daily wear before they wear through. This will definitely be handed down…well done Shawn.

You are right very well made jacket.One thing i dislike is the front pocket because shawn and his team made a template from an original and abused model, the pocket look sagging . On mine i just asked for a flat one.. To me looks defenitely better on a new jacket.

My go to jacket these days. An original Edmund T. Church size 44. Goatskin seemingly made by elves as it is as good today as 75+ years ago. A burly Talon which goes "zzzzzzz". Perfect waistband but shredded cuffs. Doesn't matter though as I can wear it Elon style with the cuffs hidden...
