I think they are both pretty cool looking!
Would you patch them like the pictures or simply leave them in patched.

I’m thinking at least the NASA badge as well as the Velcro for a name tag.

I would think the blue one is more subtle if you wear it in the street. Although the orange one really looks sharp and much more elaborate. And yes, they need the patches to be complete!

NASA patches might look nerd-ish...............getting into the trekkie realm here maybe! "Oh, you're dressed like an astronaut" I do love the jackets though.

Both, but light blue would be fine if only one is an option. As far as patches go, less is more, in my opinion. The NASA patch and leave it at that, with an option, if a customer desires, to patch and velvcro it up to the hilt.

That Monarch is awesome, would have thought a faithful repro of that might be more popular than the NASA jackets? Lovely colour both inside and out!

I think they are making the Monarch and I’m sure it will be popular. Correct me if I’m wrong in regard to the manufacture of it being a done deal.

John Wayne,

The jacket in the pictures IS my reproduction of that Monarch contract. I am pleased to know there was confusion about that, it tells me that I’m on the right track.

I love both colors, but also vote for nothing sans the NASA patch, if anything. What would you expect the cost availability be @DiamondDave ?

Ah, did think it was great nick for a 50's jacket but the fact you said that and you 'added to your stable' I thought it was one you intended to repro like the two NASA jackets. Still awesome, maybe even moreso now!! Argh, the temptation!!!

I am thinking of leaving them clean. That seems to be the consensus view anyway. I was just afraid of it looking like a McGregor golf jacket. LOL. These will probably be available soon, as I just need to come up with some money to
get the ball rolling.

Though on that note, I did find some goods laying around the shop and whipped up this one just to see what was possible with a cotton shell...

Also of note, I have found that 'Skilcraft' if still a going concern, and making the pens as issued to PX's around the world for the last 60yrs or so. I will be including a set of these with each jacket that I sell in this line.

DETAILS OF THIS JACKET:
This is a reproduction of a private purchase jacket as would have been made in Okinawa for a US Service man serving in Vietnam.

Tailor label to SANG WOO a concessionaire to the US ARMY since 1904 (I bet there was a 5 yr period there where that was not true) in Naha, Okinawa. This firm was prodigious and also had locations in Bangkok Thailand.

Jacket features NOS zipper for the cigarette pocket and NOS slider on reproduction tape for the main. Also features NOS double faced Rayon/Wool lining to the interior.

I reckon that tiger stripe jacket would be a very big hit with the Japanese market. At least they used to go nuts for tiger stripe items.
