On a 48 the collar should look a bit smaller- not like a shawl. Eastman's main B-3 flaw is that sheep stole collar!

Look where the shoulders are, that appalling hanger is far too small. Photos laid flat would be far, far better.... and better for the jacket too!

Yes- but it's still a problem with Eastman B-3s in general- collar too big! And no- I don't want to start anything- just sayin'...

I think a photo was posted recently of a US navy officer wearing a jacket with that style shawl collar, and no I don't like it either, I have a levi Parker with that I don't wear anymore

Even though I own 3 I have to agree about the collar size, remember that Patton one they did, Eastman's version wasn't even close in the collar department.

That would come in quite a bit if the zip was fully up, but you're not wrong, still a bit big.

me either, great photos, good enough for me, always good to see historical evidence, like i always said when i did historical reenacting, the proofs in the pudding, in this case photographic evidence, cheers John, ive seen this proved with some American Civil war groups too with some of the earliest photos
