Agree, Tim, but they are incomparable. I wear only low Converse and they are just lightweight summer shoes. And the French ones are like desert boots, more boots than sneakers. I'll take pictures of mine tomorrow.

Me too low converse for me are a low brained in Spanish heat, I only get to wear boots for a couple of months a year, Shane as I own some nice ones.

Lol, I grew up in the state of Wyoming where cowboy boots were worn by pretty much everyone including me. My feet adapted to them I guess.

I wore cowboy boots for several years and wore them all the time riding my motorcycle.
Best pair I had were a custom made pair I got from Austin Hall Boot Company when I was in El Paso Texas . Still have them today .

I don't wear "cowboy boots" but I do love my Seestiefel (a German Navy jackboot that's sheepskin lined with a handy zipper) for winter riding
And for summer I have a Finnish jackboot that feels like it was custom made for my short but wide feet

German navy fur lined jack boots, often misrepresented as luftwaffe boots, two types, the earlier ones had a leather sole with add on rubber sole, later ones rubber molded soles, came in plain and pebbled finish. Very heavy duty boots used to wear when them when I was a dispatch rider.
