back to heavy winds (my flying colleagues had some interesting times lately flying out of and into Vienna Intl. I was told our Cleaning company also had some extra work to perform after the odd turbulent landing ) and rather warm weather.
Santa either has to battle heavy headwinds here of he might benefit from a tailwind, depending on his approach route and the fitness of the reindeer

I for my part tried a new combination today, BR Thermal shirt underneath and the WEP as overcoat. this was just a bit too warm, so I guess I will go back to a G-1 or A-2 for picking upy mom from the train station later on.
crazy weather here...

visiting the super-swmbo aka mother in law so I had to dress up a bit...

I spare you the finer details, only so much: due to spring like temperatures, the Irvin I was intending to wear got replaced with the ELC M-422a in the last moment.
as much as I love my original Star by now, the ELC Repro USN jackets are bloody amazing in their own right...

Spent Christmas Eve in Missoula Montana. It was 17 degrees Fahrenheit or -8.3 Celsius . All I have with me is a Bill Kelso RW A2 horsehide jacket . I froze my ass off . I’ll never complain about Florida again .!!

I feel your pain Burt. The wife is from Billings. The first time that I visited her parents in MT was in January of 2005. Took a day trip to Red Lodge in a medium weight jacket and thought it was going to be the death of me. To be fair, some of the locals still probably consider 17 degrees short sleeve weather. ;)
