What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Ah yes Millets, remember it well plus numerous independent surplus places and market traders. Jumble sales were another happy hunting ground too. I'm not in the first flush of youth but after a 20 year break have recently purchased another MB, hellfire the gap between the steering wheel and seat must have shrunk!! ;)
Weinsteins was the other surplus near me in Lewisham SE London, also sold Lewis Leathers gear for the rockers (I still have a LL fringed leather jacket, would never get into it now, was about a 36 chest back then...) & I remember the queues outside on a day when denim Jeans would arrive by boat from teh States, we used to Q to see what had come in, 3 times the price of a pair of British made grey/black striped jeans, maybe you remember those ? I know what you mean , but was lucky still up to last year not to have much of a paunch , but it still not a lot of room ... guy I sold it to did have a bit of one and was rather surprised . I was sad to see mine go, but hadn't used it for years and was buying a 1955 Citroen TA, no room for both unfortunately.

do be careful 007 wearing that one, as it seems to have the dreaded dry rot, [so it looks in the pix] and may be very fragile. this, from a guy that likes to wear his originals.
it's actually still quite supple and only comes out on very rare occasions, probably the last one was at the dinner on the last night of Dday Normandy tour in 1989, been tucked up since then, just got it out to start taking photos of the collection before some of them go.

Sir that is a fantastic titfer.

When it comes to the traffic chaos I have found patience wins the day and sanity. Even though every fibre in ones body is saying otherwise... Lovely Jacket.
Thanks for the appreciation - picked loads of stuff up in many trips over to the States from the thrift hops , inc the yellow cab cap and also a generic U.S. black taxi cabbie cap, stetsons, old car and mbike parts etc, it's not just the jackets that are causing controversy in the Lowlife household...

BK Dubow, I assume this is a modern fit, but what do I know.
I like it and that's all that matters.

Thanks! I ordered the same size, but I won't be able to try it on until March :(

I ordered size 42 after much deliberation and thankfully excellent advice from the forum.
I am wearing heatec vest and cotton button down shirt. I have room for adding thin jumper or sweatshirt T shirt combo...

Lewisham, we are originally from the same manor Sir...
small world, another geezer....I was actually born just down the road in Catford, used to go to the Plough pub from about 1962 to 64 when I moved to go to art school , then moved to Milan for a couple of years then back to live in various parts of London, but not Sarf again, in W'stow now... but had friends who lived in Slaithewaite rd until couple of years ago, so I occasionally visited - How it's changed ! btw I'm feelin a B6 is the right outerwear for early Winter, warm but light, irvins and B3s are too heavy fro me now to wear a while, & not riding the bikes now so another reason to sell 'em.
when it gets really cold I have a 30s/40s nearly ankle length long teddy bear coat by Harrods.
