I've got about 8 silk scarves but this is the only modern one I have found which is an absolute facsimile of the wartime scarves which were used in terms of the heft of the silk and construction.
Was nice and toasty in this clobber!

Most modern ones are too flimsy Phil - the silk is too thin compared to '30s/'40s examples. Most also had a wool side for warmth during the war.
These are the only scarves I have handled which are exactly the same as the wartime used RAF scarves from the likes of Tootal, Dunhill, etc...
