More seriously, A-2 in the winter is pretty rare for me, usually too cold, and if it's somewhat mild, I prefer to go with my 55J14 with the extra warmth provided by the fur collar.

But for those rare days, depending on the temperature, it'll be either a Pike Brothers flannel shirt or wool CPO shirt, or a racing sweater with a big rollneck.

As I am one of these real nerds who never ever combines Navy shirts with Air Force jackets or the other way round, it's either a CPO shirt with my USN jackets or the Aircrew Sweater with the AAF jackets for me
I quit wearing G-Strings and mesh shirts underneath because the ladies really like that and started to rip the jackets off from me resulting in torn knits and ravaged hides...a big no-no if you like your jackets
