Some of my flight helmets and oxygen mask set ups

The oxygen masks are in chronological order .
Since these pics were taken , i have upgraded the type A10 revised mask .
The A8b mask now has its bag "shield" attached .
Also , i have managed to acquire the heated B8 goggle lens and lead .

Again an updated pic of the A13 mask with a T44a loom and electrically heated B8 goggle lens . The lead from the lens plugged into the heater bag or an extension lead was added so ot could have been plugged directly into the F2 or F3 suit jacket

This helmet , a B5 modified to a B6 shown with an A10 converted mask had a little surprise in store , the B6 nomemclature label had been sewn over a previous label . Curiosity got the better of me , after some careful unpicking , i discovered the original label

Were some of the differences used by various crew members or specific to aircraft type?

More down to chronological order really Brent , as the development of the oxygen masks got better and better , also from constant flow (A8b) to demand oxygen (A9 to the A14) to the pressure demand types (A13 /A13a)
Helmets i think were down to more of a personal choice B6 and A11 being seen as the most popular in archive photos .
