A couple of good looking repro's there @D97x7 and an Aero Paratrooper pullover if I'm not mistaken. I've one and I do like it. It's a good balance between weight and warmth :)

Fresh enough round here for my Aero Late War version. I need to put more wear into it but I think my chances are diminishing til the Autumn. With ELC's A-10 gloves.

In my haste to get this piece posted, I actually forgot to include an Irvin that I picked up a few months back . Some of you may remember reading about it “ The Beast” .
It’s made by Simmons Built and it is an Irvin on steroids . I won’t bore you with a lot of details as you can see what I’m referring to in the photos below .

I have three originals and a very early Aero multi panel , I wear all of them on occasion.
The Aero has very light leather binding, a feature that I like, and strangely it has N.O.S original zips (confirmed by Ken at Aero) a dot main zip and talons on the sleeves.
One of the Irvins has been fitted with pockets from a pair of Irvin trousers, not to everyones taste but I dont know how long they have been fitted. Its an early two panel jacket with original zips and even has the elasticated collar strap.
The jacket that I am wearing (appx18 yrs ago) next to the tigermoth is a Devon fleece Fleet air arm jacket that I exchanged its hood for a collar from a derelict Irvin (sorry if some people find this sacrilidge).
The final one is my best jacket, a 1940 wired Irvin in very good condition, bought from the wife of a gentleman called Ashley Leonard Parry.
I never got to learn of his RAF career but after the war he raced motorcycles at the Isle of mann TT and also GP races across Europe.
Aparently he was the last person to have ridden a motorcycle called the Old Miracle before it was destroyed in a fire at the motorcycle museum.

Steve, greetings from this part of the world! ( right now Seoul South Korea ).
You look great and with great spirits…. plus all your environment… wow wow wow.
My daughter and granddaughter live in London since several months… I would be so happy and “re” assured if they would live in your neighborhood… and knowing you’re arround….
… yup!
Stay the way you are…
Steve you’re one of our “ scouts “ here…by all possible positive meaning!
Kindest to you and yours Steve!

Thank you for those kind words and sentiments Brice... and for the Guinness... Cheers!

Another Aero Irvin that I bought new on a whim last year. This is not a Merino version but just their bog standard one which is fairly smooth, soft and pliable and about the same weight as the black one I posted earlier. This is quite a bit lighter weight wise than the early ELC one I have that I will post up in due course.

I felt a bit like a quick change artist this morning what with changing out of this repro Irvin into another, it made me glad we live out the way with no close neighbours overlooking the place. Not the different black Lab in the above too, Juno is getting on a bit now.

Great looking originals and thanks for contributing to this thread .
Oddly enough the Coastal Command hooded Irvin is probably one of the most rare Irvin’s today . If anyone can find one it’s a plus . If anyone finds a larger sized one … let me know ;)
