thanks, you speak from personal experience?

Yep, I had a 23380 in russet that was too tight unfortunately. I have a used g&f 22a that fits wonderfully but I find myself preferring the A-2! I can only hold onto one jacket at a time with my financial limitations so I'm trying to sell that one too! But I do see a Victory A-2 on the radar!

Yes, the Heron/Menlo Cossack type jacket looks very fine and would work well in the capeskin.
The detailing is key - particularly the selection of lining and (bakelite/melamine/caesin) buttons, but don't you dare advertise it as a 'civilian A-1'...

I can reveal that this design is in the pipeline.
But it will be horsehide and/or cowhide, not capeskin.

You, and all those that dare to call it so... :ugeek:

;)

Just one of my pet peeves...like starting a sentence with 'Due to...', rather than 'Owing to...' - sad, pedantic fool that I am...

But, 'thing-a-majigger'...I think that you've hit upon something there... :D

Haha- true indeed. I will be the first to admit I had very little knowledge about this jacket style prior to obsessing over Himel's masterpiece. Btw is there any consensus about what constitutes a Cossack jacket? Help me out, Doc!

Hmmm...not sure, think that it's possibly alluding to the standing collar (like a military tunic).
I obsess over the Heron too, but have a Menlo Cossack to keep me going in the meantime.

we don't want to have anything to do with Cossacks
so we will name our version "Cusack"
in honor of our friend actor Mr John Cusack
who played a character named John Kelso in one of his movies.
