This company only made them in Goatskin ,works for you ? .You cannot use the name I Spiewak & son is still in business and have been since 1904

If a member here can get a hold of a rotting old WW2 A-2, thats decent enough to take apart, copy patterns from and study the details.... And then send to Shawn.
Perhaps Shawn could carefully replicate this jacket, with all the right bits in all the right places. Decent zippers, studs, seamless knit, all the right colours etc... Get it right.
Then he could make a jacket to spec, and send to the person who sent him the original, gratis.
As an idea
Would be more than worth it for Five Star.

Thanks for the great Idea, I can assurelly work as you suggested, I have no problem at all to do so. I can make major steps in just a week time period.

Shawn,

Get that jacket! It is a contract made of goatskin, FiveStar's preference and expertise, helps you to better figure out the inset sleeve construction (which can be useful for another goatskin contract, Doniger, as well). A perfect shortcut to get proper patterns.

Build a F. STAR & Sons, build a Doniger... I would buy them!

Hi Shawn I am strapped for funds at the moment ,if you pay for the jacket I would ship it on to you .With all that's happening in my life at the moment with expenses and medical bills it not possible to purchase the jacket sorry .

Good price good maker original take it apart make a pattern and study the detail . Rebuild it and sell it off repaired .

I'm a flight jacket artist and World War II reenactor. I've been looking on the forums for a little while and was just interested in finding out more about the jackets that Shawn and five star leather are producing as I've been looking to get a more custom A2 jacket made.
