I’ve got an Ostmann in a 42 and it’s a snug fit which is not too surprising as I usually take a 44 for my 43” chest and broad shoulders. My 44 Eastman A1 and 44 A2 fit true to size. I don’t mind the snug fit in the Ostmann - it’s wearable.

A further point is that the ANJ3 had buttons on its patch pockets not snaps even though the Army specified snaps on the A2 and the ANJ3 as you know was a ‘proposed’ replacement for the USAAF A2 and the Navy jackets. I also think this might have something to do with sea spray and it’s caustic...

Agreed he’s honest and there’s no pretence they’re originals etc. I bought a bag of leather offcuts from him a while ago - excellent quality and in useful sizes too.
