Do a Google image search for Blue Leather Jacket.
There are a LOT of them out there; pretty trendy. Pics-o-plenty of them on movie stars, "musicians", celeb types. There's money to be made, and most of the makers represented on this forum and elsewhere aren't just making jackets for the...
It took longer than I thought, but I got back up to the Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas last Wednesday.

Some of the folks on here had bee asking after some patch IDs and I've got a couple...
Lockheed PV-2D Harpoon; a long range multi-role aircraft. I didn't know it either but made sure to take a picture of the description. It reads as though this one has been in continuous use since March 1945 - save for a two year storage from '47 to '49 - seeing action as a crop duster, before...
Thanks -
As evidenced by the markings, this one was a post-war build.
A personal favorite of mine and a plane I thought I'd never see in person was the Catalina. I've been especially impressed with it since finding this site a few years back: http://www.pbyrescue.com
I hope to see this...
I feel kinda bad I haven't gotten around to this sooner, but dealing with photobucket and the ever-changing formats and uploading and blah, blah, blah... Alright, I'm LAZY! Okay? There, I said it... So, without further ado, here are a couple of fine patches made for me by Sean Collins -

I just posted on the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, Texas, but felt that the Mustang deserved its own thread.
Named Galveston Gal after Captain Raymond Lancaster's plane, I had the good fortune of seeing this plane fly. For a cool 2k USD, I coulda gotten a ride, too, buuuuut...
Long time no post, but I went here http://www.lsfm.org early last month.
Located in Galveston, the flight museum and its aircraft are privately owned at make their money through donations, museum admission costs, and - neatest of all - offering flights in their many airworthy machines...
Re: how good are bill kelso campared to GW Eastman real mcco
Here is one fellow's opinion on that:
I have had my hands on all three brands, the first being Real McCoy. I had HIGH expectations for that jacket, and it did not disappoint, in terms of construction and pure looks. It was a Dubow...
Very, VERY cool.
Another "must have", when the last vestiges of cool air are wrung out of the evenings down here and I can deal with having my jacket out of my hands...
Re: My brand new 'alexanders leathers' in black goatskin siz
This, and not being oddly proportioned. I don't think I'd ever look quite right in a half belt .
Nice collection.
Yet another interesting Tumblr page, dedicated to VMF 214.
The site is a mixture of historical photos, caps of the historically-dubious-yet-very-entertaining television program, and the modern day VMA 214.

I imagine there's a zillion things like this...
HAR!
Yeah - they're not shy about trying to get you to join the club. But I can honestly say, and what I told them, I'm not gonna get involved with something I can't seriously dedicate time to. I've wanted to get into it in one form or another for many years ( I first saw the Yellow Rose about...
Looking at the CAF site, I see now that the Japanese planes are actually heavily modified American aircraft. They were both put together for the movie Tora Tora Tora.
The Kate is an AT-6 with a BT-13 tail and modified canopy, and it looks like the Zero may have been built from the ground up...
Thanks.
They had three or for more different cameras, too. I thought I'd gotten a picture, but that seems not to be the case. Sadly, I didn't bring my polarized lens dumaflunkie, so there's a lot of glare on the stuff in the cases.
As I alluded to in the OP, the display is almost more like a...
Finally, here is some of the stuff on display at the little museum in the CAF Central Texas Wing hangar in San Marcos, Texas. The displays have fewer big "set piece" types of things and more...ephemera. Lots of pocket computers and personal items, as well as a lot of models of various AC...
