I measure the sleeve to be 25 inches from shoulder to cuff. Fits really nicely and offers good coverage when I hold my arms out in front of me.
One thing I noticed too on the jacket, the quilted lining is in the body, but the sleeves are lined but not insulated. Slides on an off easily...
Finally got it in the mail. Great jacket, I love the horse hide. It's very stiff to start with, but is breaking in nicely and show lots of grain. The fit is a little looser than my Schott 118, but I think it will start to fit better once the leather conforms itself to my body. It almost...
Called Legendary USA, the Black Stallion is out of stock till November 15, so I've got till then before I can order one.
I'm thinking of ordering a brown one just to see how it fits.
Do you normally fit a 44 or a 42? I've tried Schott's 118 in a 40R and it fit quite nicely. I definitely want a slimmer fit for riding though. Would you say it's similar to the 118?
I found an new old stock Perfecto on E-bay for a decent price, but I'm not at home right now, so it'll be...
That Eastman looks great. Do they offer that on the Web, or do I have to call and order?
I'm in the States now, and it's not listed on HPA website, at least not that I've seen.
I've been looking into getting a new leather jacket to go with my bike. Currently I wear a Triumph "Rivton" jacket that I love. It fits well and has CE armor for the shoulders, elbows, and back.
I've been looking into other options though, and I think I've settled on the Legendary USA...
Well, got my jacket back from the artist. Had the Peters Group paint the jacket, the leather patch and nametape are from US Authentic. The jacket is a Gibson and Barnes type 31 A-2, size 40R.
The back of the jacket is our company, call sign, a UH-60 and a depiction of a pin-up nurse I found...

Looks like it's in good...
I'm pretty well sold on the idea of a silk lining. I've contacted GW about getting silk on one of the jackets, apparently the spun silk is harder to get a hold of.
I doubt Gibson and Barnes would want to help out a competitor, but does anyone know their source?
I know that the cotton lining is the most common for the repro and original A-2. What's the feeling about the original spec silk lining? I'm thinking that a jacket with a more 'slippery' lining would be easier to wear.
I don't have much experience with silk though, does it remain wet the...
