So, if it is a doctored RW, that would mean the woman quoted above is a liar, and orchestrated the construction with a machine-operator known to this forum? If not, perhaps just a made-up story by Silver Surfer to have a bit of fun? I'm confused..

Likely Victor taking the piss, and seeing where it went. I doubt the intent was malicious, but guess it could be. This is why I didn’t want to tell the story, and expected one or both of them to do this. And to the first statement “if it is a doctored”, not if, it is just what I said.

Just good entertainment.
Your opinion. To me a waste of time. What did Dave say, that he enjoyed watching the experts make claims about its authenticity.
Bet he particularly enjoyed Ken saying it was an unearthed new original contract. Making saps out of us and wasting our time while he knew the score. Not right!

Frankly yes, you got me. Ken has been such a dick to me and my efforts that I had no compunction in watching him double down on assertions that were not supported. Ken is no expert on any of this crap to be honest. Side note: the actual seamer in question has long been maligned by Ken as well, I guess I am a dick for it, but I can’t care.

I did not expect this to go on this long, and when you guys started catching things, I thought it would surely out itself any moment. As many of you noted the sewing irregularities, I really expected it to get sorted. Finally I talked about it with several people, including JC (who himself had been taken in by it for a hot second, though quickly ascertained exactly what the jacket was) and decided to let you guys off the hook. Guess that too makes me an asshole.

I suppose the sense of humor around here has gone off as well. Too bad really this used to be a fun place.

Now just go be embarrassed if you choose to, or laugh it off, but don’t lay that shit at my feet.

I had sympathy for you while you went back and forth with Ken in other threads. But, I suspect Ken's probably been right about you all along.
No, I'm not angry. But as YOU say... you are an ASSHOLE!

Sympathy not needed. Your opinion of me effects my life, not a whit.

I think it's a hoot! I had my suspicions, but don't have enough expertise to know exactly what was happening. To our credit, I think several of us were in the same boat, just couldn't quite put two and two together. I've greatly enjoyed the thread, and I think it's also a useful lesson in what can be done if you know what you're doing. Now I've seen it, I'm noticing, for instance, that the inner row of stitching on the pockets has a different colour thread and looks tighter than the outer one.

I feel like I’m watching the ending of a Sherlock Holmes movie where he recaps what was done, by who , to create the illusion of an event, that was actually a part of an overall conspiracy.
So following that concept, if DD is correct in all of his assumptions , we have all been duped by a conspiracy of at least 3 people. The person who created the jacket, and gave it to the person who posted it, and is most likely is a member of this forum. The person who created the story and posted the jacket. As well as perhaps one other person, who knew or suspected what was going on, but sat back and watched it all unfold simply watch a jacket maker from this forum, possibly make a fool of himself. Now I’m no Sherlock Holmes but somehow there seems to be something more to this story. Just sayin.

A handprint on a window frame, a boot print in the mud, a piece of fluff carelessly pulled from a pocket with a handkerchief. Elementary my dear Watson, it's what we geniuses call a load of old bollocks obviously dreamt up by that criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty. That twisted and fiendish criminal mastermind professed to know all but now lies cold and dead at the Reichenbach Falls.

Time to light a bowl of Old Shag and partake of a little something to slow the brain.

I hope Vic was in on it, otherwise I suspect he may not be able to see the funny side, assuming there is one.

Actually, until we hear from Vic, we wouldn’t know if there’s any credence to DDs assumptions . But if we don’t here from him, it would lend credibility that DD was correct and that Vic was in on the plot ..,not pointing fingers here friends just doing the play by play analysis ;)
