Waaaay too hot here (38Celcius) to be wearing anything leather today, so I've decided to wear my reproduction TAP 47/52 (in a lovely lightweight cotton ripstop)

we took the cheapest ride in a Dragon Rapide on Sunday morning...
15 minutes, two rounds over Duxford and surroundings in a 1944 built dH for 49 pounds per nose.
quite a nice experience to see the site of the IWM from above, together with the flightline of assembled warbirds...
Brilliant, I did the Dragon Rapide ride at the Victory show years ago, definitely worth it,

I guess if we would live in the UK I would definitely do reenacting... my gf was quite amazed when she saw the various reenactresses and reenactors, even more so when we came by the tent of the ATA and I told her what they were doing in the war...
Some really authentic living history displays in the UK
