The Dubow 20960, dating from late 1941, has a collar stand. The collar shape is different from the three later Dubow contracts, with a larger collar that has a crescent shape, like Rough Wears.
The 1942 27798 Contract was probably the largest awarded to Dubow and does not have a collar stand. Examples were made from shades of russet and seal horse hide and sometimes goatskin. The collar was pointed and smaller than the first Dubow contract. Often light brown or greenish thread was used. Some had brown knits, whilst others had almost purple knits.
The 1944 1755 Dubow is generally found in dark seal horsehide and is seen with a Talon zip, rather than the Crown which is often seen on the 27798 contract. Most had purplish knits. The style is much the same as the previous contract.
There are examples from all three contracts on the GW website and others on JC's Flight jacket CD.

looking at the 29060 dubow contract in seal brown looks great the leather looks amazing almost like war horse leather but better johns jackets are really growing on me. if only you could buy these jackets like you can buy Eastman leather.

I agree the Dubow 27798 is one of my favourite contracts. JC's repros of this contract are the best you can buy. Thanks for flagging up the LW jacket, which is not an accurate repro of the 27798 contract. Why does it have a collar stand yet has a 27798 label? I really can't understand why LW did this and did not copy the first Dubow contract which did have a collar stand.

I'll try and post some pictures - I ordered mine in seal with the purply knits. I love it. In fact maybe not just me as recently a young lady stopped me in the street an said "nice jacket!" First time for me. You can't go wrong with an A-2!
