From what I've heard about it - 2 planes were built (both in April 1945). One managed to take part in the battle and even shot down a P-47. Both were captured by American troops and the one that flew crashed when the Americans tried to ferry her to Cherbourg.

Also, the Ju87 „ Stuka“ had a version with two of those 50 mm canons „ Panzerknacker“ = „Tank-crunsher“, on the Eastern front.
Oberst H.U. Rudel was quite successful by using them… even if they had to be realigned ( heavy recoil) after each mission.

Can't imagine it's like gaining "experience" with an M-1 or Enfield.

Did see the "practice" gunnery from the ground.

Pilot need to ID exact model of the Japanese cargo ship, estimated its length. Then use the improvise gun sight (type 35mil red ring ) as reference to ranging the distance. (Calculate with a formula)

That’s the part of the attack process, that need an experienced pilot.
