The Germans loved experimenting with putting large calibre weapons on aircraft in an attempt to combat aircraft and armour. And yes I believe this flew according to two books I just looked at.

They had gun sights rigged up by aligning painted cross hairs on the pilots windshield in the cockpit with a small bead or ball on the nose of the aircraft, with the target. Accurate enough to sink ships and blow up bunkers . Later models had hard gun sights similar to the P-40.

Yes, it is an improvise sight not real sight connecting with ballistic calculator, pilot have to maintain attack course and speed for a while (became sitting duck to AA guns), otherwise wont hit the target.
