Just my bit of British humour. My wife never stops asking to go to Southampton, the home of our closest Ikea.

OK my friend, since you are British you may answer some questions I have.

Do you guys have ID cards?
How do you prove your identity?

If for example you want to go to BT to apply for a new telephone line connection for your newly rented flat, will BT ask you to prove your identity? or e.g. show your flat rental contract, etc?

Please answer.

We don't have ID cards; we usually have passports or driving licences to verify identity (or one of these backed up by a utility bill on that name at your registered address.
