The pockets could have been added later but the collar strap seems all wrong to me John. A nice looking jacket though, hope he's
not deliberately trying to mislead.

Shame there are no close-up pics, but I agree with John and Rich, it seems to be post war. Unusual construction. Could even be a "homemade" job!

This is a mid '30s Irvin by the IAC. These mid 30s jackets come up for sale rarely and one with this provenance is bound to do well. IMO it should not be worn as the sheepskin tends to be less robust than many of the later ones. Perhaps it will be bought by a museum.
