Yep, that's what I heard as well. I heard that their source for them went out of business during the pandemic and they haven't been able to find a replacement. Which isn't all that surprising - it can't be easy finding a mill that will make wool elastique without any polyester these days.

Or a pair of originals. If you watch eBay, they aren't hard to find. You just have to be patient to find a pair without any moth nibbles.

I have always gone way over budget on all my projects. It is what it is.

Good measure to plan ahead for that eventuality, in all cases.
