Original Aero 21996

I bought this before Sandy blew in. Just got it today. A beautiful original Aero 21996. It's in incredible shape. All original with a fantastic patina. It was advertised as a 44, but it's really a 46, as measurements tell the tale. Both size tag and pocket tag were cut from it. Though the Aero tag itself remains untouched. Perfect fit. Here are a few wearing pics for now. I'll get some detail shots when the camera batterie juices up.

What a magnificent late 1941 Aero Brian! Your pictures give one a good idea what it would have looked like when it was first issued. It was lightly worn in the War, perhaps for a few weeks in total. Congratulations. :)

Thanks Andrew! Now I'll be set as soon as the Star sells.

And thanks, Alan

That is one of the nicest jackets I've ever seen...just amazing. The condition, hide, lining, label, knits, color, fit...WOW. Very cool to see the still-olive drab stitching on the collar leather hanger...most of them I've seen have faded to light brown over the years. As Andrew mentioned, what a great example of what an unworn, newly issued A2 must have looked like.

how, what a beauty ! and in such a good condition ! terrific !
Would be interesting to know how you rate the hide of your GW Aero 18775 compare to this 21996 original. I guess you GW was made of italian seal HH ? do you get the same reddish undertones with the GW ?? or is the GW darker ??
