Hi there,
This is my first post, though I have been "lurking" for a few months (and learning a lot!).
I have a newish Vanson motorcycle jacket, which is made of nice (at least it looks nice) thick steerhide, the problem is that since I got the jacket damp (once, and not actually wet - just damp) a white deposit has appeared on all parts of the jacket, it is easy enough to remove with a cloth but returns every time (not always in the same place, random - all over the jacket) - even when the jacket is just hung in my spare room, which is absolutely dry and houses other jackets which do not show this deposit.
I would really like someone to suggest what I could do to get rid of this recurring problem, since it makes the jacket pretty near unwearable.
Thanks for reading, and congratulations on a really great, informative, forum.
Cheers,
Andy
