I could not cut and paste the picture from Five Star so I photographed the screen and dotted a line where the error is .

This was the area that John found a problem with the two flaps matching up ,what you see above is a perfect rectangle .Which is why the trapezoid had to be used .I hope you understand now what I am talking about .A small issue I know but one that can be rectified without added cost ,and one step closer to top tier maker club .

You have a keen eye BIP, and you are correct. I checked my three Good Wear A-2s and they are all as you suggest they should be. Thank you for bringing that up; a small but significant point.

I wonder if any originals are floating around out there with uneven flaps?

Coming along nicely Shawn. One thing from my perspective is that the thread colour is too light and is too "visible". It's a small thing I know (but we're all about small things and details around here!). A more subtle brown thread would be better IMHO.

Like I said earlier you get all these small little bits and pieces sorted out and in a nice Doniger appropriate russet and I'm buying one. To hell with my no more jackets thing ;-)
Dear @Smithy

Thanks for adding more information, Yes I have a lot of Variety of thread in almost 10 different colours which I offered on demand. You can choose any colour from below.

Can you give us an idea of the price on the new Doniger?
Also when will you be ready to go into production with it?
Looks pretty cool by the way..

Great job Shawn on the Doniger ,Smithy is right on the threads your eye focuses directly on them need to be muted and the rivets on the throat catch need to be hollow every jacket maker did this . I was reading old posts and I saw your first post was on Sept 2018 and 10 months later you have given us a Bronco ,A1 ,G1 and now a Doniger that's remarkable in such a short amount of time . I have to commend you and the other forum members on the VLJ for this rapid progress . Because of this we now have a new player in the game and that new player is Shawn of 5 Star . One other pointer if I may on the jacket detail is the small piece of rectangular leather where the zipper starts (shown on the last picture with the zipper box ).I had a conversation with John Chapman and this part of the jacket always gave him trouble .For the section in question to look right one has to make the shape a trapeziod . It then follows the line of the knitted hem ,your lower edge is not 90 degrees from the zipper . A minor point but one that catches the eye of even an untrained person ,other than the color your ready to go .

Hi Dear @Bombing IP

Thanks for your great compliments and review, also thanks for suggesting improvementrs.

I am still working to search that special revits for this jacket I am hopeful soon I will get them.

Regarding Thread colours I have a lot of options please check the image I already posted in this thread.

Regarding the trapezoid shape its just the simple image position, In reality its 100% 90 degree from the zipper, to proper understand I attached some images which show's the real images, we make each and everything according to its pattern and design.

Shawn, in the repro flight jacket world, with your positive attitude and your ability to turn the suggestions of experienced members into reality, you are on the brink of greatness in this industry. There is nothing I can say that has not already been said to confirm the superb quality of this jacket. If there were one criticism you would consider from an old guy with tired eyes, and this would hold true more for the very slim among us, it would be to tighten up the knitted waist band a little. Keep up the good work.
Dear @Garylafortuna

Thanks for your great compliments I am totally agree with you, Its not criticism I always take it positive as all of us here want to improve, I know I disturbed my fashion business a lot, Like I start working on Doniger 6 months ago and still improving this, whereas very slow sales, If I remains in fashion Jackets during that time I can make a lot for my business, But I really love to work on unique idea's so thats why I am here and working for something new.

I will improve the waistband too, thanks for suggesting.

Looks good Shawn... Really, really good.
Consider olive drab thread also.
I'm personally not a fan of reddy russet, but Im sure you have options.
Waist knit - is it tight enough? Looks like it could be a little bit tighter.
Epaulets - They must be just slightly back of centre. I obviously can't try it on myself, but please bear this in mind.
Shawn, are you able to send small leather, thread and knit samples/ swatches?
Hi Dear @Brettafett

Thanks for your input, Yes I have a lot of different thread options, I already posted its image,

Yes Waistband has great Elasticity in it, can be added more if required its not a big problem.

I can send the samples, but I have huge stuff...

In nearly 25 years I had always discounted the Doniger collar. When worn it is probably the best collar out there. Checking out your eBay store now.

Very strange is it not, the budget maker has the absolute premium customer service and some of the premium makers have the budget customer service.
And those who dismiss Shawn's jackets out of hand and just think he is milking the people here to improve his jackets and nothing else have to realise what I have thought all along, these jackets would be a tiny fraction of his business, do we really think he is going to get hundreds of customers here. He is the owner of five star and the time and development he is putting into these jackets is out of all proportion to what he will actually make in the short term.
