My D-1 gets lots of Fall use over here (UK) & is like a 'baby' B-3 in some respects (IMHO) & the simplicity is very charming..B-6 for me..has too much going on (not that, that doesn't make it a cracking jacket..just personal taste).

Can’t go wrong with going up a size in order to avoid snugness. You can always take layers off.
