I just found this...


So my guess is that the pattern is in fact a SAAD and not roughwear, so the site I found the initial image is wrong.

Was S.A.A.D the only contractor for this type of build?

Haha no. I meant original state. Was just wondering if the panel configuration, collar patch, chain etc. was ever done by any other firm

Is S.A.A.D. (San Antonio Air Depot) even a contractor? I was under the impression that S.A.A.D and S.F.A.D. jackets were made in house by the AAF.
No idea. I do know (or have been told ) it dates to sometime in the 30's. I've been reading through this site and have only come upon one other example mentioned, with no details
