I have just received my BK Gordon & Ferguson M422a this weekend and it's excellent, not had a chance to properly wear yet as the weather is a bit too warm at present but here are a few photos pretty much straight out of the box.

BK's customer service has been fantastic through out the whole ordering process so a big thank you to Andy, Platon and the BK team.

I won't have a chance to write of full review yet so I think I will wait a week or so until the jacket has had some wear and started to break in then post some more photos along with the jacket review.

Anyway here are a few quick pics I have managed to take so hope you enjoy.....

Looks like a mint original Paul-very nice indeed. We just need some cooler weather in the UK so it can get some wear. I should get my W&G M422 by the end of the week.

Thanks your nice words. Nice jacket indeed.
How long did it take from date of shipping?

Looking forward for the 'as worn' pics

Hey Platon,

Jacket was shipped last Monday and received on the Friday so 4/5 days from Greece to the UK, not bad at all.

Look forward to seeing photos of your W&G M422, if it's anything like mine you won't be disappointed.

When Patton posted that BK had the mouton they were looking for a few weeks ago, I placed my order for a W & G.
Should be receiving notification of shipment sometime in the next week.
If it turns out like your Gordon and Ferguson, I should be a happy camper!

Nice looking jacket, Paul. And my size... :D
Is it a standard 46? Do you reckon it's a modern or a wartime size?
Thanks in advance!!! ;)

all the contract jackets made by BK are made in wartime size.

only the house is not, but next September it will be too, otherwise it's confusing

Hey Carlo,

I just ordered a 46 reg and it fits fine as I wear a 46 reg in my A2s and other jackets so the size is spot on for me.

It's a slighty trimmer fit that my 46 reg ELC G1 but not to the extent that I cannot layer underneath, I have worn it quite comfortably with just a t-shirt and also with my Steve McQueen Great Escape sweatshirt without any issues.

As Platon says, if this is a wartime size/fit then it suits me fine and fits great.

It's a fantastic jacket and I can't recommend it enough and if the BK W&G M422 is anything like the G&F M422a then you will not be disappointed one little bit.

As mentioned earlier, due to the current UK weather its been a bit too warm to really put some wear on the jacket but once it cools off a bit and I can do so then I will write a review and post some more photos on how it's breaking in.

probably take about a month of daily wear to break in and start showing the creases and pronounced grain.

I see Bill Kelso is selling the Gordon & Ferguson on Ebay for $900. Plus $48 shipping. Totaling $948.

But the cost on the Bill Kelso website it is 600 Euros ($750 Dollars). Plus 40 Euros shipping ($50 Dollars). Totaling $800 Dollars. $148 Dollars less.

Is the Ebay jacket different in some way? If not why the discrepancy? Does Ebay charge that much comission for posting? Does Greece have a VAT?
