Here's a patch I completed a a month or so ago but hadn't got around to cutting the edge. It's what I assume is US chain-stitched machine embroidery. This can be a little tricky to replicate by hand, as the stitching pattern that's efficient if you're working on a machine, is very different from what you would want to use for hand work. However, now that I understand better how the originals were made, I am able to more accurately copy the style.
