1920's 'A1' back on sale

Doesn't matter though does it. If he changes his mind all the buyer has to do is claim it has a tiny mark somewhere or it smells, and demand a return at the seller's expense; and get his postage back which you paid out to send it to him. If you are stubborn enough to not just swallow it and accept the return and you go to eBay to arbitrate you're just wasting your time. Not only that but it can affect your seller ratings when they find against you as they always do. Even when it's obviously a spurious claim eBay will always side with the buyer.

So it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with this jacket.

The new listing does not ship the the U.S anymore. It might have been an overseas buyer and the seller had shipping issues?

I am having doubts whether this is an original from the 1930's. The knits looked replaced, The liner looks too new but doesn't look like it was replaced. The buttons could have been added later. I think you would have to really inspect it close up to be sure if it is really old or not. The missing label is a little suspect. With the good condition of the liner, you would think the label would survive.

The collar looks stuck on somehow and the liner is too clean for a 100 year old jacket.

It doesn't actually say it's from the 1920s, it says 1920s style, not sure if thats been altered from what the original listing said.

Yeah but this one has a 4 piece back. There are other Civy examples of this. With side panels that reach around to the back. The 1930's Air Associates flight jacket. That has underarm gussets though so it's not one of those jackets.

Another detractor, no flat fell seams. Just simple joined seams. That is not very 1930's like. A-1's & 37J1's had all Flat felled seams. In fact it was in the specs as a requirement for the 37J1. This is an often missed feature for the uninformed jacket maker. You see it all the time.
