When all done, it looks like ya may have a nice occasional wearer there. And, yes Steve will do his sellers magic to bring it up to snuff. If one side of the crown went fubar, than it’s possible that the other is weak. I would suggest replacing the whole zipper, imo.

Here's my color match on my original Aero. Note the weave as well. I have top quality tightly woven cotton fabrics that match the originals. They are available in my higher end jackets, and also if anyone needs some.

Great project! Steve is a master and I sure it will turn out nice.
While I don't know what shape it was in when you started the repairs/restoration, but...I think it looks GREAT! Definitely has some nice patina.

Myself, personally? I can't start a project until I'm 100% ready to finish it.

Yep, it's still in motion. I sent the jacket to Steve Sellers, along with the replacement knits and the liner material. John Chapman has very kindly supplied half of a crown zipper chain with the stopper box. So now I'm just waiting on Steve, who understandably has stuff going on in his own life as well. I'll post pics (including progress pics) when I have them.

Steve sent me an email a few days ago that he's ready to start working on my jacket. He's going to replace the female half of the zipper chain, the liner, and the cuffs (but not the bottom knits), apply some tinted leather conditioner to the sections where the dye has been completely stripped off, and do some re-stitching in a couple areas. I haven't seen any pictures yet, so I'm not really sure where he's at in the process.
