I dunno if you have already washed that jacket before but be careful, after I did it with mine (same Bronson Model) the brown fur turned to a greenish gray. Sold it and purchased a Gizemo....

Out for a morning walk on a cool morning wearing the Werber G-1. What I really like about this contract is that it's a bit shorter in the torso than other G-1s I've worn, so it isn't a problem if I have to sit down.

Hmm, I wasn't sure how to answer that question, so I decided to weight all my originals (by stepping on a digital scale while holding each one in turn): Gregory Sportswear 7823D, Werber 7823, and Edmund T. Church M-422A down in front - yes, I know, the Church is badly in need of some TLC from @Maverickson . It's on my to-do list.

All three of them weighed exactly 3.5 pounds. Granted, the Church has probably lost an ounce or so of weight to the moths and the rot, so it may have once been a tick heavier.

Thanks for clarifying. The Werber I owned (@entertainment can confirm) was substantially heavier in feel than just about anything I’ve ever handled in a similar model.

Interesting - well, it wouldn't be at all unprecedented for a manufacturer to use different weights of leather within the same contract. I guess the Werber 7823 was one such contract.
