Thank you for these beautiful rare photos. At that time, each flight was a miracle and a feat at the same time, for women in particular.

Wow....

Attractive, thin (I suppose everyone was buying tapeworms then) and capable... Now I know why Stinson rang a bell... Nice work.

OK That's me finished the Neta Snook Southern Coat, the battered horsehide took some extra battering during the make-up, it's a heavy garment with a heavy lining
The map pocket is too low, otherwise I'm happy with the result, these will end up in the Aero Range this Winter

I like the way that battered hide shows a wide range of marks and scrapes . It definitely excelerates the aging process.

The Battered Horse isn't all that heavy, ideal A-2 weight? I reckon this Coat would hit the 6 Kilo mark in Chromexcel Steer..............not that I'd want to try making one............just sewing the buttons on while balancing the weight on my knees was enough for me

If okay with you guys I'd like to post a few pics of my wife (Caitlin) doing a living history WASP impression. The shoes she is wearing are made by her company, www.allheelsonduty.com that makes WWII service shoes for women.

Upcoming calendar I'm publishing with my wife as a fund raiser for living history non profit. Her jacket here features her company logo painted by Jennifer Thomas. ;)

QUOTE : The flying jacket and gloves once belonging to Katherine Stinson are on display in a glass case at Stinson Middle School

Is there any provenance, original picture of her wearing the jacket?
Sorry to say I'm pretty sure (well virtually certain) that I recognise the artist's style, in which case the artwork dates to the 1980s
