Well this should do nicely for a g1 collar replacement

I have a decent sized wear spot on my g1 collar and was thinking since I’m about
To Order new knits I should consider the collar,
On that thought I was looking through a couple thrift stores and thought hey, they might
Have an old woman’s shearling coat and yet they did, $20
The leather side is still very soft and the fur/wool side is so soft and luxurious
I think I might even be able to use the underside of the collar as it’s already cut for a collar
And appears bigger , we will see

That will work. Jan and I picked up an old mouton coat that we used for collars . We sent a piece of it to Shawn to use for the collars of out “Sky King” jackets . They turned out very nice .

That was actually one of the things that inspired me, as those jackets turned out amazing

You will succeed, Mike. Mouton fur coat is the best donor for collars, I did it on my Foster, the result is excellent
