I just can't leave anything alone... Here's another one...
Here's what I did:
Took the shoulders from 23" to 21"
added the hourglass shape at the sides
Replaced the zips w/ WW2 talons from a b-4 bag- attached the front zip properly (edges of the jacket cut,not folded).
dyed the fleece to more of a yellowish tone
shaved the fleece down much closer to 1/4" (dog clippers!)
replaced the epaulets, zip reinforcements, and most of the tape with dark horsehide (matches the pockets)
Re-shaped the collar
It's not pretty much a true 44, a little small on me but not bad, been wearing it all week....
