Unknown patch, ID needed

bombs away

Hello,

Here is a patch I've recently bought :

It's a bit smaller than usual chest patches, with stitching holes all around.
Made in 2 layers of leather, it's not a repro as the leather is really old.

I'm thinking of a variation of the 600th Bomb Squadron of the 398th BG :

Any opinion is welcomed !

Yeah it's a "variation" of the 600th "Daffy Duck" , I ahev a lot of various squadron/group photos of "specific" types and "variations" , so you have the correct ID and a nice patch too ! I would venture a guess as to the colors and details being different for the "copywright" reason , seeing as "Daffy" was a Warner Brothers cartoon icon , the artist probably did it that way so as not to get involved with the studio people .
