That USA Smell

I have had two US Authentic jackets and they both had a light cherry smell to them. Another curious thing about it is that one was a Shearling and the other was Goatskin.

It is not an unpleasant smell just mysterious. Anyone experience this? Or have an Idea why this might occur?

Just curious, I am not looking to clean them or anything.

It's probably the clear finish on the leather, my Italian horshide RM A-2 has a similar smell. Sweet, and as you say, not unpleasant ... just not particularly leather like.

Good call Deeb. That sounds like it could be it. The finish is locking in all that good leather smell.
