Mark they have a foster G1 on there also, I've bought from here before with no problems in the past

I wanted to make sure it was within Vietnam era, I don't really want to go beyond that, but I know very little about G1s. When did they start making them from rolled cow hide?

I think it's from the E series but i'm not sure that all are cowhide, maybe some are still goatskin leather.
Some specialists will be able to provide more details

I believe that one may be on the line between goat and steer but if it’s anything like mine , which I believe is cow, it’s very light and soft much like the goat hide versions
