rust removal

Does anyone had a good method of removing rust from cotton? I have a couple of Cotton Sateen Utility Caps with some spots, mainly on/under the brim, if that matters. I had picked them up in the hopes of restoring them at least to wear. Thanks.

I have some rust stains on a favourite pair of jeans. I have tried everything to remove them without success. Lemon juice is supposed to work, but not for me unfortunately.
I think we have a chemist here somewhere who could probably help.
I did try some phosphate solution as used on auto rust, but that didn't work either.

Yes, it is a stain remover but I'm not sure if it work on iron stains.
