Rough Wear 27752 contract

Just a quick question out of curiosity really which I'm sure you chaps will be able to answer..............

What year was Rough Wear's 27752 contract awarded by the USAAF and when did it go into production ?

The contract was FY 1943, so late 1942, or early 1943 ... presumably production started soon after.

Marv, I slightly misled you here as the info was from memory as I was on holiday at the time. I have now checked my records. The order for the RW contract was placed in the 1942 fiscal year, before 25th May 1942. There is evidence that the Aero contract 42-18775 (AC 28819) was placed on 25/5/42 so the 27752 contract pre-dates this. Production though would have extended into the 1943 fiscal year.
