Since it was '44, I'd say it was all AAF. Point is, it doesn't seem like there was a Tech Order for insignia before this time, so probably no AAC transfers.

I’m thinking more that the jacket had nothing on it and they added the decal when they added the name tag. Maybe a wee error.
