Real or fake?

What do you gents say?

Is this one of the very, very few painted navy jackets? Or is it made at some clever chappie's kitchentable? I'm inclined to think the last but be interested at your opinions.

IMO a fake, there were many examples of these paint jobs on USN jackets around in the early 1980's, they were suspicious then and suspicious now.

Looks fake to me, the only one I've seen recently that has a good chance of being real is this one...

absolutely,

If you look at real old paint it normally cracks and chips, leaving bald patches in the painting. It doesnt evenly wear down like this one. Another thing is that jacket art was very rare but a sewn on name tag wasn't. So this guy had lots of stuff done to his jacket but wasnt able to secure a nametag for himself leaving a rare jacket that from a famous squadron that is not researchable.....hmmmm
