Hello gentlemen,
I received a rare German aviator's flight helmet today. It is the German Air Force model K33. The side holders for the oxygen mask are available. However, this version is without the forehead attachment. This hood has an unusual third loop at the back for the glasses strap. All original. The owner's name is present inside. It is engineer Otto Thomsen. He was a flight instructor at the Berlin Staaken and Berlin Tempelhof airfields. His most famous flying students included Elly Beinhorn, Hanna Reitsch and Wernher von Braun.
