Question about the little square piece of leather

Recall there has been discussion that ELC was putting a square piece of leather inside the collar, under the collar snap.
Was that a feature on originals as well? because after some wear the piece begins to appear...

Also, did they use the same on the pockets?
Anyone knows?

One of my ELC's has them on the pocket flaps but not in the collar, It is an early one tho, but my newer one doesnt seem to have them in either. And yeah like you say, they become visible with time......

:lol: Oh boy, you guys need to read the thread on this subject by Rotenhahn. I'm sure Deeb will be able to locate it. I cant exactly recall the detail but original RW's had it, as do John's but ELC's don't.
