ORIGINAL WWII PERRY SPORTSWEAR INC. COAT CO. INC 42-16175 TYPE A-2

Nothing more classic than an original A-2!

This example is 1 of 50,000 made by Perry Sportswear Inc. under contract No. 42-16175P in fiscal year, 1942.

The condition of this jacket is amazing considering it is 80 years old.

All parts are original to the jacket.

The leather is soft and supple. This example was carefully depot-redyed, as no excess of paint is found.

Knits have some moth holes, but still in solid condition.

Inside lining immaculate, which is rare after 80 years.

The wind flap of this specific example was sub-divided into 3 parts, which is not the case on every example of this contract.

This example has the AN stamp present from inspection.

Contract label still present and in great shape.

Original Conmar zipper is very solid and works perfectly.

Enough said, let the pictures talk.

Regards,
Jorge

Basically NOS condition!! Wow! Probably still has that 'new car smell' too!!

Hardly any neck ring, or grease on the liner, nothin'

Have to ask. What about Moth damaged cuffs? They're going to run, if you plan to wear this A-2.

Do you darn them with thread, or leave as-is? ...if they're original I would not replace them.

One Incredible Jacket hands down! It's got New some Sheen!!!

The knits are very solid (rare after 80 years), even with the moth holes which is very common due to the nature of the material. I wouldn't replace them, that would compromise the authenticity, and I'm kinda OCD with that.... :D

nd no matter how faded and worn an original may get there's always a shine to certain spots. But best to darn them knits!
